One flat price per destination, whatever the parcel weighs. A second book does not raise it in the nearer zones, and a book posted from a different shelf is simply that shelf’s price — the basket shows you the exact figure before you pay, and it is the figure you are charged.
Printed books reaching €49.99 ship free within Germany and Finland — and $49.99 of books we hold in the United States ship free there. The total counts printed books only, after any discount. Elsewhere the flat rate always applies: we already carry most of what a parcel costs, and carrying all of it on an export would mean charging for it somewhere else instead. In France the rate drops to €0.01 rather than zero, because French law forbids free book delivery.
Ebooks and audiobooks carry no shipping charge and do not count toward that total. An order of digital books alone never shows a shipping line.
Where we ship
Since 12 August 2026 the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requires per-country registration, producer-responsibility fees and a local representative for every intra-EU parcel — so inside the EU we can now ship domestically only: books stocked in Germany ship to Germany and France, books stocked in France ship within France, and books stocked in Finland ship within Finland. Elsewhere in the EU we can no longer send printed books at all — the basket will tell you before you pay, and every book’s product page offers an Amazon option instead.
Outside the EU there is no such restriction, and since 17 August 2026 all three of our shelves export worldwide — 206 destinations, from the United Kingdom and Norway to Japan, Brazil and Australia. The only places we cannot reach are those under sanctions and a handful of territories with no civilian postal service. Ebooks and audiobooks are unaffected and deliver instantly, everywhere. Want a book somewhere we cannot reach? Write to us and we will look for a way.
How long it takes
Orders normally leave our warehouses on the next working day. Delivery after that depends on the carrier and your country: a few days within continental Europe, one to two weeks for the United States and Canada. Dispatch and delivery times are estimates from experience, not guarantees.
We ship from more than one warehouse, and books are sent from whichever one holds your title. An order spanning two warehouses arrives as two parcels, sometimes days apart. You are charged shipping once.
Taxes and duties
Prices include any VAT due, calculated for your delivery country. Nothing is added at checkout beyond the shipping rate above. Outside the EU you may owe import duties or local taxes when the parcel arrives; those are set by your country and collected by the carrier, not by us.
If something goes wrong
Damaged in transit, lost, or never arrived — email shop@konsensus.net with your order number and we will replace it or refund you. You do not need to argue with the carrier; that is ours to handle.
