Returns and refunds
Fourteen days from the day the book reaches you. No reason needed.
Sending a book back
Email shop@konsensus.net with your order number. We reply with the return address for the warehouse your book shipped from.
- Tell us within 14 days of delivery that you are returning the book.
- Send it back within 14 days of telling us, unread and resaleable, in packaging that protects it.
- We refund you within 14 days of the book reaching us, or sooner if you send proof of postage.
The refund covers what you paid for the book and the standard outbound shipping. Return postage is yours. We refund to the method you paid with; a bitcoin payment comes back as a bitcoin claim link for the same euro amount you paid, so the exact sats depend on the rate when you claim it.
Books that arrive damaged, or never arrive
This is not a return, and none of the above applies. Email shop@konsensus.net with your order number and a photograph if the parcel was damaged. We replace the book or refund you, and we cover the postage both ways. Do not send it back until we have answered, or you may pay for postage we would have covered.
Printed books are sold by Konsensus Network OÜ, ebooks and audiobooks by Konsensus LLC. Which company you contract with is named on your invoice, and set out in full in §1 of our Terms of Service.
Ebooks and audiobooks
A download begins the moment you ask for it, which is what you are agreeing to when you click it — and at that moment the 14-day withdrawal right ends. That is how EU law treats digital goods delivered immediately, and it is why the file is yours from the first byte.
Before you download, the right still stands: email us and we will refund the order. A file that will not open, is corrupt, or is the wrong book gets replaced or refunded — write to us within two years of buying it. Download links last 7 days; if yours lapses, write to us and we will issue a fresh one.
What we cannot take back
- An ebook or audiobook whose download has begun.
A printed book comes back unused and resaleable. You may handle it as you would in a bookshop — enough to see what it is. Handling beyond that can reduce the refund by the value the book has lost, which is what the law allows and all we would ever claim.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, the 14-day right of withdrawal above is the one the Consumer Rights Directive gives you, and nothing here reduces it. Every physical book also carries the statutory guarantee of conformity that applies where you live — a faulty book is repaired, replaced, or refunded regardless of how long the withdrawal window has been shut. Buyers outside the EU get the same 14 days from us as a matter of policy.
The binding wording is §6 of our Terms of Service. Delivery costs and times are on the shipping page. Anything unclear, ask: contact us.
