Our new site is open, and it got simpler for everyone.
We spent the last couple of months demolishing our old website and building it back by hand. It all started because we wanted to put a new name on our front door: Konsensus
The ‘Network’ in our old brand needed a nameplate back in 2019, but it doesn’t now. Bitcoin, publishers, and all of us are nothing without our networks, and we’ve grown ours to include authors, podcasters, designers, editors, industry leaders, publishing partners, and of course, thousands of readers (you). Energy cannot be created or destroyed, and our energy comes from our network.
However, we are not a breaking news amplifier, a growth-hacking machine, or an influencer farm. We want our name to represent our values and our mission only.

To fulfill these principles, we needed complete control for our own online business.

Now, every page of our revamped site is our own code. We didn’t use a flatpack website builder, an oven-ready template, or insert a bunch of cookies and tracking code. We take your privacy seriously, and we don’t want your data.
Many of you have been building sites and tools with unbelievable speed in the last year. AI now enables complex rebuilds like this for just one or two people. It used to take a team of ten. If ideas are built on the principles of human action, AI tools help them take shape and become reality.
A team our size can now hand-build and maintain a globally scaled publishing operation and keep it lean and nimble (plus, get rid of the black box e-commerce platforms in the process). That wasn’t possible just two years ago.
Konsensus.net is the lander. There are seven doors behind it. Here’s the tour, room by room, and what got ‘cleaner’ in each.

Most manuscripts reach the market in under three months, and every application gets an answer within three days. Twelve of our authors put it better than we can — find their unfiltered words on our publishing page.

108 titles in 13 languages. Seventy-three are ours, and the rest are curated to help you grasp ideas that grow our freedoms without BS and distractions.
Our new filters do the sorting for you: Bestsellers, Hot, Great deals, or Free. Buying from the US or the EU is now a single switch: the right catalog, the right prices. View prices in euros, dollars, or sats (tap the ⚡), and pay by card or bitcoin.
Every book has its own URL to share. Copy the link and the cover travels with it.
Plus, a new feature lets you curate your own reading list from our catalog and send it to a friend or at a meetup. The QR codes included make it easy for them to find the books they are interested in.

Your privacy matters.
There is no cookie banner on konsensus.net, because there’s nothing to consent to. We don’t track you. Your basket, your reading list, and your preferences live in your browser, not on our servers. Card numbers never reach us. Order details are gone within 30 days of shipment. The privacy policy says all of this in plain language, and it’s short enough to actually read.
For audiobooks and eBooks, we stopped asking for any data at all. No email, no account. You pay for the download, the file is yours, and it lands the moment payment settles. We also have the Free shelf exactly for that: full EPUBs, PDFs, and audiobooks, with nothing demanded in return.

The best ideas about freedom should be easy to find and easy to pass on, so our reading room is better cataloged and more shareable than it has ever been. 86 pieces live there — 55 of them fiction from the 21 Futures worlds, the rest essays and articles — free to read, from any device, no account. Read them as a stack, a grid, or a list. Same categories as the shop. One taxonomy across the whole house.

When you share the books you love, we’ll give you a real cut. Every sale you help us gain pays you 10% of what we make on it, claimable the instant it lands, straight from your portal to a Lightning or on-chain address.
We added weekly bounties, a leaderboard, and a crown for whoever’s on top. You’ll stack a few extra sats while you’re King or Queen. Want to stay unnamed? You show up as an unknown starfish.
Authors can become partners too. Add your work to the Konsensus canon and benefit from increased sales. If you’ve got a physical book, an EPUB, an audiobook, even just a PDF you want to sell, list it in our catalog on a revenue share, and we guide the right readers to it. We’ll also add a link to an Amazon version of your book if you have it. Your cut is there to withdraw over Lightning or on-chain the moment it’s earned.
Clearer than ever before
Under all of it, the Konsensus mission is clearer than ever: we map the ground a sovereign individual can stand on and put the books that explain freedom within everyone’s reach.
Authors get a straighter deal, readers’ choices remain private, buyers have clear options, and partners are free to share and earn.
